Situated approximately 15 miles from the centre of London, Feltham is ideally placed for the commuter, Feltham main line station is served by a South West trains service, taking 40 minutes to Waterloo, or via the Piccadily tube line from nearby Hatton Cross, to Leicester Square in 45 minutes. Heathrow airport is on the doorstep, and the M3, M25 and M4 are all within an easy drive. Feltham is very much a family friendly area, with many recently enlarged schools, good childcare provision, and an unusually large number of parks. Feltham sports centre provides a swimming pool and large gym, and there are numerous shops and restaurants in the recently upgraded shopping precinct to satisfy most tastes, including, Next, Matalan, Boots, Costa and Starbucks. Feltham leisure centre boasts a multiplex cinema and bowling alley. Feltham also boasts supermarkets by Tesco, Lidl, Aldi and Asda. Feltham is a multi-cultural town, with various places of worship to suit most religions, and is well connected by public transport to Hounslow, Staines, Ashford, Hampton, Twickenham and Richmond. Feltham has a fascinating history, once the home of Aston Martin and Spitfire production, and the Feltham Airpark was once a private flying club, famous previous residents include Queen members, Freddy Mercury and Brian May, and champion athlete Mo Farah attended Feltham Community College.
